Well, I thought this was good news for me. According to the CEO of Levi's, skinny jeans are out and loose jeans are in. Well, I still have all of my loose jeans in my closet, but in the photo above I'm wearing my skinny jeans. Turns out, Jenn and Dana quickly corrected me and told me those are not skinny jeans. Oh well, looks like I'm already in style then if those are loose jeans!
According to CNBC, the CEO of Levi's did an interview last week where he said all sales signs point to this being the beginning of a, "new denim cycle." Skinny jeans are out after dominating for about a decade. Looser, wider legs are in for both men and women.
He says the pandemic really pushed the trend over the edge because now people are, "looking for a more comfortable, more relaxing denim."
So, are skinny jeans totally done? He said, "I don't think [they're] ever going to go away completely. But clearly right now we are seeing a very strong demand for these looser fits."
