Asking someone if they like surprises is dumb, because not all surprises are created equal. A poll of 2,000 Americans asked them to name the best and worst surprises you can get.
Here are the ten best . . .
1. Randomly finding money, like on the street or in your pocket.
2. Surprise parties
3. Finding out you're getting money back on your taxes.
4. Surprise visits from people you want to see, like friends and family.
5. Engagements or proposals
6. Pregnancies
7. Getting a new puppy or a new pet.
8. Snow days when you were a kid.
9. Canceled plans, so you can just relax.
10. A deadline got pushed back.
The study, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Affirm also found the worst types of surprises. According to SWNS Digital, they include:
A bill that's higher than expected, finding out you owe money on your taxes, hearing your kid break something, finding out your pet had an accident in the house and unexpected visits from people you don't want to see.
