It seems like every year I start off by saying I'm going to lose weight and get in shape, but by February, I'm sipping gravy out of a wine glass. Sound familiar?

According to PR Newswire, almost 70% of Americans say they're in worse shape now than they were a year ago. So, exercise and eating healthy are even bigger resolutions this year.

"U.S. News & World Report" just put out their annual list of the best diets for weight loss and overall health. They also factor in how easy each diet is to stick to and here's what they say:

1. They say the Mediterranean Diet is the best overall. It includes a lot of fish, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. But you also get to drink wine, so that's a plus. The DASH Diet and the Flexitarian Diet tied for second.

2. If you just want to lose weight and keep it off, the Flexitarian Diet tied Weight Watchers for first. Flexitarian means mostly vegetarian, but some meat is okay.

3. If you want to see faster results, check out the Health Management Resources Diet. It involves having food boxes delivered, so it's not the cheapest. Coming in at 2nd was a tie between Weight Watchers and the Atkins Diet.

4. They say these are the easiest diets to stick to are the Mediterranean Diet, Weight Watchers and the Flexitarian Diet. So, Mediterranean ranked as the easiest and best overall.
