Every state has its pros and cons. Florida has the humidity, California has the high cost of living, Minnesota has a historically bad NFL franchise. Is my Packer fan showing? Sorry. Anyway, we now finally have a survey that asked thousands of Americans to rank the states on which were simply the "best."

YouGov.com asked people to choose the better of two states in a series of head-to-head matchups. States were then rated based on their “win percentage”, that is: how often that state won the head-to-head matchup when it was one of the two states shown. Here are the top ten "best states" according to the suvery:

10. Texas
9. Georgia
8. New York
7. Arizona
6. Florida (Not bad!)
5. North Carolina
4. Nevada
3. Virginia
2. Colorado
1. Hawaii

Here are the states that came in last:

42. Kentucky
43. Missouri
44. South Dakota
45. Indiana
46. Iowa
47. Arkansas
48. New Jersey
49. Mississippi
50. Alabama
51. District of Columbia
