A few weekends ago, the family and I traveled to North Carolina to enjoy the BIG JOHNSON FAMILY REUNION. Asheville is where we decided to all join. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the change of scenery was a nice escape, and of course seeing the fam was pretty great too! It was a quick weekend trip and we made the most of it.
We enjoyed a fire pit night, drank lots of wine, went hiking, checked out a waterfall, shopped around, mingled with the locals, got lost due to no cell service, enjoyed some family cooking, tossed around a football, and we played some board games. We fit A LOT in 36 hours!
When we were wrapping up the trip we discussed the things that we would change for the next reunion. The overall consensus that was thrown out was having cell service! The adults felt like we had to plan the way we once did… you know, back in “the old days”. The kids had no idea how to trouble shoot. That was quite entertaining to watch!
Sure, not having cell service was a challenge but it worked out. All in all, life is full of stringing memories and moments together. That is exactly what we did! I'm just happy we were able to find each other because when a cell phone doesn't work.... neither do directions.
Can’t wait for The Johnson Family Reunion 2023. Cell service needed.
