All the good vibes!

Each moment of everyday is pretty important. Sometimes I wonder, if we can train ourselves to keep our surroundings positive maybe we can better prepare for the waves of life. I consider myself to be a pretty positive person. I do have to give credit to those who do “the daily” with me.

I did a little digging on HOW positive relationships can benefit us and there was one reoccurring word.

Kindness. It is key and fundamental.

Here is what we know about kindness.

Kindness boosts productivity, gives us more energy, and builds trust. With kindness comes motivation and enthusiasm.  Kindness allows people to let down their guard to emotionally connect. PLUS- kindness is contagious!!

As positive as I am, I have to practice slowing down. Creating silence around me is real test but one that proves to be beneficial. In my silence, I am able to focus. Focus on the day and focus on my tasks that need to be completed. Silence elevates your self-awareness in a way that helps your communication. If you clear some space in your mind there’s enough room to show others… you guessed it, KINDNESS!

Here are some ways for you to practice kindness:

•      Help an overwhelmed co-worker with a deadline.

•      Be willing to help.

•      Recognize positive things others are doing.

•      Share a link to an article your colleagues may find interesting.

•      Bring snacks.

•      Ask, "How are you?"

•      Smile.

•      Celebrate birthdays and any other big events.

•      Cheer on someone else's ideas.

It is a choice whether or not to be kind. We are all impacted by those around us. Maybe you know them or maybe you don’t. Practice being mindful for the energy you bring into each room.
Your mood matters. Hashtag it!

Todays blog was inspired by my friend and coworker, Pike Taylor.

P.T… you are great and wonderful. A real gem.

(Now say it back and we can both take credit for being kind.)

See fam, its so simple.
