Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter and AJ McLean along with with NSYNC's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone are getting together to host Bingo Under the Stars, in celebration of Pride month.
The event will take place June 18 at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles and include prizes from surrounding retailers and restaurants. A number of special guests are expected and fans can get excited because Carter, McLean, Bass and Fatone have promised a throwback performance.
The game will be called by Jeffery Bowman, better known as LA’s “Bingo Boy,” with all proceeds benefitting the LQBTQ+ community via The Trevor Project and LA Pride’s Pride Makes a Difference campaign.
Carter and Bass first teased this event in September 2020, revisiting it again last week on Instagram live.
"Since it is Pride Month, I guess we can kind of tease a little something," Carter said to fans. "What we're talking about doing … We can't give away too much... So basically, Lance, Joey, myself, AJ [McLean] maybe — we're just going to say we're going to be doing something special. And we're going to announce it in the next week … And it's going to be huge. It's going to be really big and we're really excited."
Bass took to Instagram to personally invite fans to the recently revealed game night for a great cause.
“As your Guncle, I’d like to formally invite ALL of the #Angelenos (and SoCal) to join myself, @nickcarter @aj_mclean and @realjoeyfatone @thegrovela on Friday, June 18th to celebrate Pride with us!” Bass wrote.
Several took the invitation to heart, selling out tickets in less than a day. Not to worry, Bass confirmed more are on the way with an update to his invitation reading, “UPDATE: tickets are sold out, but due to overwhelming demand - we will be releasing more tomorrow!!”
