Florida is known for our beaches!! If you plan on visiting or maybe you live here, it’s important to know where to go. For me, I love a quiet beach. For the kids, they love people-y beaches.
Let’s talk about our top 3 favorite beaches.
1. New Smyrna – It occupies 13 miles of Florida’s Atlantic coast. It’s roughly 45 minutes from Orlando and this where all of the locals go. The kids and I will often take a day trip to New Smyrna.
It’s easy and close. Our favorite restaurant is The Garlic….Good food and live music! We love renting bikes and golf carts.
2. Clearwater Beach. The water on the west coast of Florida is beautiful. The vibe is relaxed. Renting paddle boards and jet skiing is our move here… the waters seem a little more tame. The crystal blue water is perfect for swimming and the white sandy beach is gorgeous!
3. Our absolute favorite beach in the state of Florida, is Boca Grande. Boca Grande is known for good fishing, sugar sand beaches, and a charming downtown area that is sure to impress! Kayaking is a real treat… the mangroves are amazing! We love staying on the island for at least 4 days. The resort on the island is gorgeous! For transportation, we rent golf carts. The cottages all come with charging stations for the golf carts. The island is very “old Florida” in a new vibe way. Driving our golf carts to explore and then to grab ice cream from the local ice cream spot is our absolute favorite activity!
