Early 2000s Disney Channel fans rejoice, a 'Lizzie McGuire" reboot isn't out of the question.

In the most recent episode of the In Her Shoes podcast, Hilary Duff talked about the reboot that was originally set to premiere on Disney+ and follow Lizzie as she navigated adulthood.

The actress said she doesn't "love" talking about the Lizzie McGuire reboot — "because the internet seems to explode whenever Lizzie stuff is brought up" — but she did say, "I think there's always a possibility there."

Duff also added, "...even if she's 40, I don't think people care. It's always going to be somewhat interesting to people to see where she ended up."

The original series ran on the Disney channel from 2001 - 2004. There was a reboot starring Duff and the original cast that was confirmed in 2019 with Disney+. But shortly after it was announced, it was shut down in 2020.
