Pike's band played in front of a bunch of Alpacas this weekend

It was another whirlwind weekend for me, flying back to Minnesota for 24 hours to play a show with my band Low Standards. Planes are wild, man. I woke up in Orlando on Saturday and was on stage with my band in Minneapolis just hours later, and then back in Orlando by Sunday afternoon. Big shout out to planes.

Anyway, the show we played was a private party. It was at a big property out in the middle of nowhere. There was a swimming pool filled with nothing but ice and Busch Light. That's honestly something my band would prefer to have at every show, hopefully one day we'll be big enough to have it as one of our demands. Oh, there were also a bunch of Alpacas nearby enjoying the music.

Surprisingly, this isn't the first show we've played in front of animals. We played a rodeo in 2019 where there was literally a chicken on the stage, and cows using the backstage area as a bathroom. It was something special.

This show was a rocker. The crowd was into it all night and so were we. Private parties are nice because you know you'll have a guaranteed amount of people there, unlike a bar where people are constantly coming and going. This party in particular was great because even if they didn't like us, where were they going to go? There probably wasn't another live band within 40 miles of the place.

It seemed like all the humans enjoyed the night, anyway. I even caught the Alpacas bobbing their heads a couple of times.
