Questlove announced that he was co-producing a massive tribute performance with The Roots for the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop in a video on Feb. 1 and they did not disappoint!

Describing Hip-Hop’s impact to the world as “immeasurable” and the “driving force in the music, in the culture,” he appreciates the Recording Academy for allowing the opportunity to honor its anniversary.

In the video, he revealed the details about this “special segment,” sharing that “it’s going to be an absolutely amazing moment with some of the biggest names from the genre coming together to celebrate hip-hop history — its past, its present, its future.”

And he did not lie.

With LL Cool J moderating and performances from DJ Drama, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott, Future, Glorilla, GrandMaster Flash, Method Man, Nelly, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, this performance was definitely one for the culture performing all the hits from Missy's "Lose Control" to GloRilla's "F.N.F."
