Orlando Voted THE HOTTEST CITY

Recently I read an article saying that Orlando was voted the hottest city to live in. Oddly enough, I saw a weather report latter that day and the average temperature was around 105 degrees. Based on those two clues, one would say that it was going to be hot outside. What my dad used to tell me as a child, finally sunk in, ”In one ear and out the other.”

Fast forward, it’s noon on Sunday. I told my daughter, “It’s a mommy daughter day! Let’s head to the farmers market. Downtown Orlando, here we come!” As we are sweating profusely walking to the farmers market, my daughter joined forces to compile Farmers market hacks. You’re welcome in advance.

Farmers Market Hack:

1.    Pay the $10 for parking because even two blocks of walking is just too much.

2.    Wear clothing that doesn’t show sweat marks …if you even care.

3.    Take a handheld fan. Not the kind that will applaud you but the battery operated one.

4.    Go early. Like really early. Especially if you don’t wanna pay the 10 dollars for parking.
Prime parking available early!

5.    Bring extra hydration. Also, go hydrated. Water. Mimosas. I’m not here to judge.

Please note, if you want the fresh-picked flowers, they sell out fast. Whoever thought of a pinwheel and flower shop from a throwback Volkswagen van is a genius. What a business plan… delivering smiles and such.

Also to note: I am the proud new owner of a banana tree. I have no green thumb but apparently banana trees thrive in heat (I do not), but hey, now I have the potassium right at my fingertips.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated.
