Review: Pike's first Hollywood Studios experience

SPOILER: It was life-changing.

It turns out you don't need to be a diehard 'Star Wars' fan to be absolutely blown away by Galaxy's Edge.

My wife Lauryn and I spent last Saturday exploring Disney's Hollywood Studios, a place I'd never been before, and had the most amazing time. Admittedly, I was only a big fan of the first three 'Star Wars' films when I was a kid (Are those the prequels? Sequels? Idk, you know, the old ones), but hadn't followed it much since then. It didn't matter, I was in awe of the detail and immersive experience that Galaxy's Edge offered. I am not exaggerating when I say that "Rise of the Resistance" is probably the best theme park experience on this planet.

Of course I'm always after some good food and drink, and the park did not disappoint there, either. The Ronto Wrap and brown ale were both outstanding.

We capped off the day by heading over to Typhoon Lagoon for their first H2O Glow After Hours party of the summer. The great food and drink trend continued, as well as some fun music and dancing on the beach, and, of course, waterslides.
