What’s a girl to do when her lyrics don’t age well? Change them of course. And that’s exactly what Kesha did for her surprise guest appearance during Reneé Rapp’s Sunday afternoon Coachella set.

Pleasantly surprising the crowd with a performance of “Tik Tok,” midway through Rapp’s set, Kesha started off with a bang by changing up the 2010 mega-hit’s opening lyrics.

Of course, as well all undoubtably know, the original lyrics are, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” which is followed by a response from the man himself saying, “Hey, what’s up girl?” However, since all the recent revelations about Diddy have come to light, it’s obvious Kesha’s lyrics haven’t aged well. Taking matters into her own hands, or should we say fingers, Kesha made one small but impactful switch, singing “Wake up in the morning like f*** P. Diddy,” alongside Rapp, as both waved their middle fingers in the air.

Even ahead of all the FBI drama, Diddy was already making unfavorable waves last year for the physical and sexual abuse allegations brought about by Cassie Ventura, which resulted in a lawsuit settlement. So during a Los Angeles performance during the Only Love Tour back in November, Kesha removed Diddy’s name from the song entirely. Opting instead for “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”

Aside from Kesha’s cameo, Rapp performed a list of songs from debut EP “Everything to Everyone” and full-length “Snow Angel,” and was joined by her rumored boo Towa Bird for her breakout hit “Tummy Hurts.”
