Ray Liotta never saw himself coming out of the corn.

In a posthumous interview from Deadline a year after Liotta’s death at 67, the actor discussed having never seen “Field of Dreams.”

“You know, I’ve never actually seen the movie,” the actor told the outlet.

The interview was conducted when Liotta was 64 according to Deadline.

The actor went on to explain a number of things happening at once caused him to not view the sports classic, including the filming of “Goodfellas.” He also said his mother was battling cancer at the time and fell ill during a screening.

“My dad and my mom came, and we were watching it, and she just started not feeling well. Her lungs started getting… She felt the fluid coming. She was having trouble breathing, so we just left,” he said.

“I don’t know why I’ve never see in it,” he said. “It’s not like if I watched it, I’d cry.”

During the making of the movie, Liotta said he had no idea it’d become the classic it is now.

“You can’t tell. Not the way ‘Field of Dreams’ and ‘Goodfellas’ have aged,” he said. “‘Goodfellas,’ really, it’s been like 28, 30 years later and I have kids coming up to me as if the movie had just come out. These kids who see it when they’re old enough. That’s just unbelievable.”

Liotta died in May 2022 at the age of 67.
