Will Smith made a Men In Black themed Coachella appearance during weekend 1 of the famed festival, and we all have J. Balvin to thank for it.

Joining Balvin for his alien/UFO-themed set on Sunday night, Smith appeared dressed in his full Men in Black suit and sunglasses for a surprise performance of the 1997 film’s title track.

The brief appearance was a memorable moment for everyone involved, except for maybe Balvin who by the end of the set was dragged off by black-suit-clad dancers as Smith pulled out a “Neuralyzer,” the famous memory-eraser device from the film.

Memory-altering withstanding, J managed to return to perform one last track, a rousing version of his hit “In Da Ghetto” alongside a troupe of dancers clad in comically stereotypical alien costumes — y’know green with big black eyes.

Always heavily thematic with his concerts, J. Balvin’s Coachella stage show did not disappoint. Opening with a mock-1950s newsreel about an alien invasion, the message eventually revealed that the alien was in fact Balvin himself. Rising from a platform beneath the stage, underneath a giant UFO, Balvin was joined by his dancers for an otherworldly run of his smashing hits, starting with his 2018 global smash “Mi Gente.”
