AJR has announced dates for their upcoming tour, dubbed The OK ORCHESTRA Tour, and will see the group perform a slew of shows across the country in 2021 and 2022. Their 2021 tour kicks off in full this September in Madison, WI. Their 2022 will span several weeks kicking off on April 28 in Dallas before wrapping up on June 21 in Phoenix.
The Met brothers recently spoke with Audacy about the making of their latest album OK ORCHESTRA calling their work on it “nonstop.” “It was a very up and down kind of album,” Jack Met explained.
“It was probably the least consistent emotion-wise…. basically, there were such lows in this album… and there have been moments of like ‘wow this is truly the most emotional song we’ve ever written, I can’t believe how easy this is to write.’”
The cinematic feel of the album was deliberate on AJR’s behalf as Jack said “it was almost like a movie, writing this thing for us.”
