It's another sign we are getting back to normal as American Airlines is gearing up to start offering travelers a beverage on flights.

Starting May 1st, American Airlines will resume offering alcohol to it's customers in first class and business class.

The alcoholic drinks won’t be flowing yet for the main cabin passengers until sometime later this summer.

American Airlines, along with most US based airlines, suspended alcohol sales a year ago as the pandemic worsened.

Airline Consultant Michael Boyd says alcohol sales is a money-maker for the airlines.

While you won’t be able to buy a beer in the main cabin right away, American says you can get free canned drinks (soda) and juice beginning June 1st.
