LaRosa, who’s part of the impressive Audacy’s We Can Survive 2024 lineup, alongside Justin Timberlake, Benson Boone, Tate McRae, Khalid, and New Kids On The Block, started off by answering who were her favorite artists growing up, and what genre of music she listens to the most.
After sharing that after she “found Lana,” as in Lana Del Rey of course, “my life has changed,” Isabela also noted The Neighborhood and Twenty One Pilots “were definitely some of my favorite artists.” As for her preferred music genre, LaRosa admitted, “to be honest, I don’t know if I have a specific genre that I listen to the most,” however resigning to follow the prompt and pick one, Isabel went with Pop.
After replying that either Lana or Billie Eilish would be her choice for dream collab, LaRosa added “I feel like whenever I’m asked the question… my mind goes blank… so that’s the most I can give you right now.”
Isabel also shared the best fan interaction she’s ever had. “When I see people that I’ve seen before and I’m like ‘I know you’… it’s just… so much fun or when I see a fan that I know in the crowd… that’s like always the best,” LaRosa expressed. “But I mean literally meeting anybody is just such a crazy thing to be able to do so I’m so grateful for it.”
When one fan asked if she could pick her music to be featured in any movie or show soundtrack which would it be, Isabel knew the answer right away. Noting she’d be “honored” for her song to show up in an episode of Euphoria. “If you’re listening to me, if anybody is listening to me — listen, I deserve it please, but I can’t act, just put my song on the show… I don’t know when it’s gonna happen, but if it happens, I should be there.”
Also answering inquiries about how her summer has been, if she’ll ever record a Christmas song, or if she has a nice set of wheels, to which LaRosa replied, “I own a 92 Bronco… which I think is pretty sick.”
When asked about her family and how everyone is doing, Isabel shared that they’re all “doing great.” Talking a bit more about her producer brother, noting, “we write everything together, so we are very closely involved and we go everywhere together.” As well as her shouting out her sister, who is “basically an olympian,” adding “she actually is though… she’s like third in the country for swimming.”
Answering a fan who wanted to know what she does to warm up her voice before shows, Isabel revealed, that on the occasions that she remembers, “I have this weird metal straw and you put it in like water and you like blow bubbles into it and sing… It really does help loosen up your vocal cords… It just looks so stupid, I’m like singing ‘favorite’ into a cup of water.”
Isabel also revealed how old she was when she wrote a song for the time, and which song she’d choose in a lip-sync battle. To catch it all, press play on the Isabel’s interview with Most Requested Live above.
