Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar-winning career could have taken a much different path.

On a recent episode of The Rewatchables podcast, Lawrence told host Bill Simmons she auditioned for “Twilight” in 2008. It didn’t go so hot.

“I auditioned for ‘Twilight,’” she told Simmons. “They turned me down immediately. I didn’t even get a callback, but my life would have been totally different.”

Lawrence, of course, starred in the “Hunger Games” movies in the lead role of Katniss Everdeen. That happened one year later when she would also nab her first Oscar nomination for “Winter’s Bone.”

While appearing in four “Hunger Games” movies from 2012-2015 Lawrence made sure to act in a number of movies between the franchise installments.

"I have to churn out movies in between so that I'm not only known for this franchise," Lawrence said. "I was still in a franchise, so I was still trying to counteract the franchise-ness and I would still be doing that if I was in ‘Twilight.’”

Lawrence also revealed the fandom surrounding “Twilight” nearly scared her off the “Hunger Games” movies entirely.

“That’s a very different life than what I had pictured for myself,” she said.

Lawrence currently stars in “No Hard Feelings,” in theaters now.
