By the looks of it, it seems Verzuz has plans of sticking around. What started out as a way to hold on to some normalcy during one of the strangest times in our personal history, has become a true celebration of music, “by the artists, for the artists, with the people.”

Yesterday, the battle’s official social pages announced he next slate of matches up to the mic and they will surely not disappoint. On April 4, we’ll see a battle between soul and funk legends The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire. And later that month on April 20, Redman and Method Man will face off for a “How High 4/20 Special.”
The announcement also promises six additional battles, however participants and dates for those have not been disclosed. With that said, we do know both a “Mother’s Day Special,” and a Memorial Day Weekend rematch battle are headed our way.
This past weekend, Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon and Ghostface Killah faced-off for the well-known 20 round battle. The hip-hop legends we’re joined by Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna, who provided verses on “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Glaciers of Ice,” and “Ice Cream,” respectfully. Also making appearances, RZA to say hello and ODB’s son Young Dirty Bastard dropped in for a toast.
First up next on the line-up, The Isley Bros vs E,W&F for an Easter Sunday battle. All events will be available to watch the way you’re used to on Verzuz’s Instagram account or via Triller.
