In a Tweet from the festival, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd’s appearance is being teased as “the after party.” The official Coachella Twitter shared the updated lineup alongside a caption that reads, “The Party & The After Party.”

Many are assuming that SHM and The Weeknd will share a back-to-back set, where the Dawn FM artist performs a short set and SHM closes out the evening, similar to when the DJ trio followed The Black Key’s headlining performance in 2012.

On April 4 it was announced that West would no longer be performing his closing night set at the Indio-based festival, which runs from April 15-17 and April 22-24. While reps for Ye and the festival did not share comments about the change in headliners, a source told Variety that the artist had not prepared or rehearsed for the performance.

West’s Coachella cancelation came shortly after the rapper was barred from appearing at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards due to what the Recording Academy described as his “concerning online behavior.”

Coachella 2022 includes headlining performances from Harry Styles and Billie Eilish.
