The song announce comes after a string of trademark Taylor easter eggs, including her pre-recorded Law & Order sketch at the Emmy Awards, and more recently, changing the O’s to 0’s in her social bio. “And, baby, that's sh0w business f0r y0u.”
“I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25,” the GRAMMY-winning artist posted Tuesday. “It’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours.
The track is Swift’s first release since “I Knew It, I Knew You,” earlier this summer, her chart-topper from Toy Story 5. Taylor released her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, in October of 2025.
