Sharing about the relationship he had with Mac Miller, Wiz recalled their times in the studio and as label mates. Both hailing from Pittsburgh, Wiz noted, a lot of people group us together… but we do different things… And it’s a beautiful thing to be able to get love for what I’ve been able to bring to Pittsburgh and Mac have his legacy as well.”
Discussing how Mac’s passing affected him, Wiz shared, “It hurt me, it was really really sad because realistically I had different talks with him about that type of stuff, just as a big homie and as an OG,” adding, “not in a bad way, just in a real way.”
“I’m not into those things,” Wiz said, “so it was hard for me to be around it, and support it, and be like youre my friend and I’m gonna allow you to do this without me saying anything. So that was really hard for me when it took him out, because I didn’t want that for him at all.”
One thing you might not know about Wiz, he’s quite the accomplished bowler. “I’m a f***ing weirdo when it comes to bowling," admitting he hasn’t yet bowled a perfect game, but he’s nearly there with a 287.
After discussing his trailblazing ways in smoking culture, Wiz moved on to discuss his relationship with shrooms, noting, “shrooms is cool as hell,” revealing he “started on shrooms before it was acceptable.”
Starting off by “taking eighths at a time” and bugging out, which he doesn’t recommend, “just micro-dose.” Adding, “and even then, that’s got that place and time. I’m not the dude that’s just walking around shroomed out all day.”
