For those that are afraid to ride roller coasters, a common excuse is the fear of the ride getting stuck while on it.
While that doesn’t happen frequently, it does indeed happen, and when it does the story usually goes viral, causing even more fear for those afraid of roller coasters.
The most recent example comes from the United Kingdom where a woman filmed herself walking down steps to safety after the roller coaster she was on got stuck in midair.
Video of the woman’s walk to safety went viral recently, as she was forced to walk down 200 ft. of stairs after the roller coaster she was on broke down.
The incident occurred at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK on ‘The Big One,’ which has been described as the United Kingdom’s tallest rollercoaster.
“Park staff scaled the ride before passengers were escorted on a nerve tingling walk back down to ground level. Some guests have said the walk back down is more terrifying than the ride itself,” said the park in a Facebook post describing the incident.
According to Fox News, the park assured that “guests were "completely safe at all times." For those afraid of roller coasters, they won’t be facing their fears any time soon after this one.
