
Now that Young Thug and Lil Wayne’s beef is squashed, the rap star is challenging Weezy to take on a Verzuz battle.

During a conversation with Gillie Da King and Wallo267 on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Thugger opened up about Lil Wayne being his ideal challenger on Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’s hit streaming series. “It would probably have to be like Lil Wayne because you got to think—we got to talk about influence. We got to talk about everything. We got to talk about everything. It’s not just about no rap,” explains Young Thug. He adds, “You got to understand, as rappers, as hip-hop artists, you can only go so far. I always just focused on the next level.”
Weezy and Thugger’s beef goes back to the first time they met. Young Thug explains, “The first day he didn’t dap me up. Tried me. Now my feet hurt and I’ma real stepper. Left the pimpin’ hanging. He prolly had them chrome hearts on.”

He adds, "I’m like, ‘Hey listen bruh, I’m never touching your hand again. Just off of that. I’m a player, I’m a real player and I don’t give no f***s. Nothing about me is a groupie, no nothing! You inspired me."
Young Thug hopes that the two rap inspirations can come together on a Verzuz battle the demonstrates how influential the two icons are.
