The Ravens are winning, but something looks off.
Baltimore may be sitting on top of the AFC North at 6–5, but veteran analyst Charles Davis says it’s clear the offense is not playing to its potential. Speaking on Inside Access Monday, Davis pointed to Lamar Jackson not looking like the same dynamic playmaker fans are used to seeing, noting that his limited mobility is magnifying issues along the offensive line and slowing down the entire attack. While the Ravens are winning, Davis said the product on the field does not resemble the explosive, high-tempo offense fans expect.
Davis explained that the ground game and offensive line have been major factors in the recent struggles, and noted the offensive front isn’t getting the push it once did, with too many plays blown up by penetration on the edges and inside. That lack of movement has prevented Derrick Henry from building momentum behind lead blocks. Davis also highlighted the team’s slow starts, saying the early drives lack aggressiveness, urgency, and energy, something even the crowd at M&T Bank Stadium seemed to feel.
Still, despite the offensive concerns, Davis believes the Ravens are in strong position to claim the division. He praised a defense that hasn’t allowed more than 20 points in a game since early October and said he still expects Baltimore to finish ahead of Pittsburgh in the AFC North race. With two matchups left against the Bengals, two against the Steelers, and games against the Patriots and Packers, Davis believes these final weeks will reveal whether Baltimore can overcome its offensive challenges and close the season the way a division champion should.
