·The 2026 American Music Awards lit up Las Vegas last night from MGM Grand Garden Arena with Queen Latifah hosting the show for the first time in 31 years.
·BTS dominated the night, opening the show with “Hooligan” before winning Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer for “Swim,” and Best Male K Pop Artist.
·The group is also currently in the middle of a four show run at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Two sold out concerts have already happened, with two more still ahead this week.
·“Golden” from “KPop Demon Hunters” was another huge winner, taking Song of the Year, Best Pop Song, and Best Vocal Performance. The soundtrack itself also won Best Soundtrack.
·KATSEYE scored one of the night’s biggest surprise wins by taking New Artist of the Year over Alex Warren, Sombr, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and Ella Langley.
·Sombr had a breakout night with wins for Best Rock/Alternative Song for “Back to Friends,” Best Rock/Alternative Album for “I Hardly Knew Her,” and Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist.
·Karol G won Best Latin Album for “Tropicoqueta” and also received the International Artist Award of Excellence during the show.
·Billy Idol received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Darius Rucker was honored with the Veterans Voice Award.
·Taylor Swift entered the night with the most nominations overall at eight, but BTS emerged as one of the biggest winners of the entire show.
