·The FIFA World Cup is officially getting a halftime show for the very first time ever, and they are not starting small.
·BTS, Madonna, and Shakira are set to headline the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show at MetLife Stadium on July 19.
·FIFA made the announcement on Instagram as the countdown begins for the tournament, which kicks off June 11 in Mexico City.
·The championship match takes place in New Jersey, and Billboard reports the halftime performance will run about 11 minutes.
·Chris Martin is curating the show alongside Global Citizen. The organization says the event will help raise money for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports access to education and youth sports programs around the world.
·This is a huge moment for BTS fans because the group has been back in full force after finishing military service obligations.
·Their latest album “ARIRANG” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and stayed there for three weeks straight. Their world tour is already selling out around the globe and they’ll be in Las Vegas performing 4 shows starting next week.
