Heated Rivalry actor Dylan Walsh appears to have accidentally revealed a major detail about Season 2 while recording a personalized Cameo video for a fan.
Walsh, who plays Shane Hollander’s father David on the HBO Max series, told the fan he was getting ready to return to Canada to film more episodes and said, “I think we’re doing 12 this time.”
That immediately got fans talking because Season 1 only had six episodes.
Series creator Jacob Tierney previously said he preferred keeping seasons to six episodes, leading to speculation Walsh might have accidentally revealed Seasons 2 and 3 are filming back-to-back.
Walsh later paused his Cameo account and wrote he was stepping away because the viral video “got me in trouble.”
His account currently shows him unavailable for personalized videos until August 2027.
Walsh later clarified he was speaking off the cuff and did not have official information about the episode count. He apologized for creating confusion for the production and fans.
Production on Season 2 started this month, with the new season expected in spring 2027. Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie return as Shane and Ilya, with Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie joining the cast
