ANAHEIM, Calif. (KNX) – One of the last remaining mask mandates at Disneyland California Adventure Park has been lifted.
Guests are no longer required to wear masks on the park’s shuttles and buses. However, the park is still recommending guests use the personal protective equipment.
“It is strongly recommended that Guests wear face coverings when indoors and in enclosed transportation,” park officials wrote on the website. “Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and older), regardless of vaccination status, in certain indoor health settings, such as in First Aid.”
Disneyland dropped its mask mandates for the outdoor park in February. But its mandate for those riding on the park’s public transportation remained, in line with federal guidelines.
It comes after a federal judge in Florida struck down the mandate on mass transits last week, which resulted in the Transportation Security Administration saying it will not enforce a mask requirement on airplanes anymore. The same applies to other forms of public transportation, although the Centers or Disease Control and Prevention still recommend wearing face masks on board.
The Justice Department filed an appeal over the order after being asked to by the CDC, hoping to preserve its ability to regulate future public health crises.
