With a set time of 10:05PM, Ocean hadn't graced the stage until 11:00PM. He opened up with the standout "Novacane" followed by hits off of channel ORANGE like, "Bad Religion" and "Crack Rock."

After performing a few songs, Ocean addressed the crowd and acknowledged what everyone was already thinking, when are we getting a new album?

"It’s been so long but I have missed you. I wanna talk about why I’m here because it’s not because of a new album – not that there’s not an album, but there’s not right now," he said before playing "Inner Child" while a young boy played the piano.

In another moment of transparency, Ocean opened up about his late brother, Ryan Breaux, who passed away in October of 2020. He revealed that he and his brother used to come to the festival together and he enjoyed watching Rae Sremmurd with his brother. "I know he would have been so excited to be with all of us and I wanted to say thank you for all the support and the love all these years," he said.

Rapping up the moment of vulnerability, he dove into a slew of songs from Blonde, including "Solo," "Pink + White," "Godspeed," and more before he abruptly cut the performance short due to curfew leaving fans devastated.

But that wasn't the only disappointment of the night. Originally, Ocean's set was supposed to be livestreamed on YouTube per an announcement but was cancelled just hours before the set started.

Ocean will return to the desert next Sunday, for weekend 2 of Coachella.
