Sharing the exciting news on Instagram via a duo of snaps — one of herself embracing her stomach, covered in what looks to be black oil, followed by a photo of her positive pregnancy. Though absent from the visuals, Megan tagged mgk and used his track “last november” to accompany the post, which she captioned, "nothing is ever really lost. welcome back 👼🏼❤️.”
The announcement arrived nearly a year after Megan opened up about suffering a miscarriage in her book of poetry, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous -- a “very difficult” time in Megan and MGK’s life, regarded in both the post’s caption and accompanying song.
Shortly after first addressing it in her book, Megan opened up about how the couple grieved the experience of losing a child during an appearance on Good Morning America. Expressing, at the time, "I’ve never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’"
While the brand new bundle of joy will be their first together, Fox and Kelly are already parents to children from previous relationships. mgk welcomed daughter Casie with ex Emma Cannon in 2009, while Fox shares sons Noah, Bodhi, and Journey with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
Megan and mgk first met and began dating in 2020, and after two hot and heavy PDA-filled years the couple got engaged in January 2022. Four months after the pair announced their engagement, while onstage at the Billboard Music Awards, MGK dedicated his performance of “twin flame” to their “unborn child.” The track he eventually followed up with "last november,” which he describes as "the truth behind the second half of ‘twin flame’.”
By February 2023, rumors of a breakup between the twin flames sadly began to spark when the actress posted a pointed Beyoncé lyric to Instagram — “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” though later clarifying, “There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind.”
In March of this year, Fox confirmed that their engagement had been called off, during an appearance on Call Her Daddy, telling host Alex Cooper, “I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se.” Adding, “What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I cannot say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”
No explanation needed, just a big congratulations to these twin souls! Check out Megan's pregnancy announcement above.
