The Masked Singer made its return Sunday, revealing Demi Lovato as the very first undercover performer during a special kickoff episode ahead of season 10’s official premiere on September 27.

After singing Heart’s “What About Love”, disguised as Anonymouse, judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke tried to make there best guesses.
To help them out, host Nick Cannon asked Anonymouse for additional clues, to which the obliged, saying “just like Michelle Obama, Oprah, and Angelina Jolie, I’m on one special list: Time’s 100.”
Joeng, Jenny, Nicole and Thicke went on to suggest the anonymous singer could be Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga or Alicia Keys, with Jeong calling Anonymouse “the most powerful voice on the show.”
Anonymouse then offered up an additional clue. “My acting career has cemented me as one talented mouse.” With that, the judges added Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Demi Lovato and Pink, to the list of guesses.
After supplying a few more very revealing clues, McCarthy, Scherzinger and Thicke, all agreed that it had to be Demi Lovato under the Anonymouse mask — and they ended up being right.
“This could be the biggest star we’ve ever had in 10 seasons on The Masked Singer,” Jeong noted of Demi, who won’t be competing when season 10 officially kicks off later this month.
The show also introduced a first round of clues for some of the new performers, and featured a few reunion performances. Scherzinger teamed up with her former Masked Singer crushes Victor Oladipo (season 2’s Thingamajig) and Barry Zito (season 3’s Rhino) for a performance of “Meant to Be” by Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line. While, Bow Wow (season 3’s Frog) and Joey Fatone (season 1’s Rabbit) paired up for another reunion performance of The Jackson 5’s “ABC.”
The Masked Singer will return with season 10 on September 27 at 8PM ET on Fox.
