Cat of the Week: Portobello, 2-years-old, Domestic Shorthair(photo above) 

Meet Portobello. He is 2 years old and is friends with everyone he meets. He’s curious, loves toys, and has the sweetest little meow. His favorite thing to do is to sit in your lap while getting head scratches. Portobello is a special boy who requires a special home because of his medical needs. So we need your help finding Portobello's forever family.

You can see Portobello's coat is fully grown in and is as handsome as can be. So, without his history with us at AHS, you would never know he is a chronic carrier of ringworm. What this means is, although he isn’t currently showing the typical signs of ringworm (hair loss and flaky skin), he can still infect other animals and humans. He is on medication that helps keeps his ringworm under control and will need to be on for his entire life. He has been in and out of our shelter too many times and deserves a chance. Please share and spread the word, as we believe there is a special home out there for Portobello. His adoption fee is $85.  

Dog of the Week: Aria, 1-year-old, Mixed Breed

This gorgeous lady is Aria, a year-old, mixed breed gal looking for a new home. Aria is super sweet and affectionate. She's very playful and active and would be wonderful for a family who likes to get out and have fun! She's very smart and is the perfect age to learn new things. She does well with other dogs, too! Aria is house and crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is just $85. Meet Aria today!

Senior Spotlight: Bella, 12-year-old Domestic Shorthair

Bella is known around here as the Snuggle Queen! We think you'll be surprised at what a big heart she has in her little body! Bella is calm and gentle, but also social and always ready to get up to greet you when you walk in the room. If you scratch her cheeks and chin, Bella will be in absolute heaven! Her other hobbies include curling up on the couch for a good movie, snuggling with other cat friends, and waving around her cute little half-tail. Cats as sweet and special as Bella don't come along everyday, so hurry in to meet Bella! Her adoption fee is $85.
