Thomas English Muffins for their 140th anniversary released 140 english muffin recipes during the holiday season. Another way to celebrate is making sure the packaging is eco-friendly. Bimbo Bakeries USA has a solution with their partnership with TerraCycle. You can bag waste for good. Stop waste from ending up in landfills and oceans.

BBU has a goal of going ZERO-WASTE by 2025.  They have found a solution to the problem of their packaging that is not recyclable today through household recycling streams causing most of the waste to end up in landfills. The partnership they have with TerraCycle allows consumers across the country to easily recycle the plastic bag waste from their homes at no charge. The recycling program is open to any interested person, school, ofice or community organization. Following the instructions on the TerraCycle program, participants may recycle. Submited packaging is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that may be remolded to make new recycled products.  TerraCycle partnerships give products and packages a way to be recycled rather than ending up in a landfill or incinerated.

Bimbo Bakeries USA is the first baking company to partner with TerraCycle, and they have already recycled more than 5 million pounds of waste. TerraCycle has divereted millions of pounds of valuable resources from landfills all over the world.  #RecycleEverything!
