Coffee inspiration came from a trip Jackman took to Ethiopia in 2009 meeting a young coffee farmer named Dukale. He was working to get his family out of poverty. His story inspired Jackman to launch Laughing Man Coffee Company in 2011 to help provide a marketplace for farmers in developing countries to be able to sell their goods in the United States. 100% of the profits is contributed to the Laughing Man Foundation that supports coffee farming communities by investing in programs that lead to health, growth and success for coffee farmers and their families. Jackman's partner is former Brooklyn criminal prosecuter David Steingard / co-founder & CEo of Laughing Man Coffee. Also the Director of the Laughing Man Foundation. Their belief that business can create positive changes in communities around the world.
