Okay, so 2020 wasn’t the best year to be in Austin.  South By Southwest got canceled, ACL got canceled…okay, so everything got canceled.

Who wants something to look forward to in 2021?

Who NEEDS something to look forward to in 2021?

Oh, all of us?  Good!  Scheduled to open in the spring, the Waterloo Greenway is poised to be the next great ATX landmark.  After years of planning and construction, the 11-acre multipurpose park(located between 12th and 15th Streets and along Red River and Trinity Streets) is currently putting the finishing touches on the location that many are calling “Austin’s Central Park”.

The crown jewel of the park is the Moody Amphitheater.  Once completed, the 5,000 capacity concert venue will be the home to many amazing concerts-with beautiful views of the city in every direction!

Plus, the area will be open to the general public when there aren’t shows for a place to grab lunch, meet up with friends, or walk your dog!

However, the Greenway isn’t just a concert venue.  There’s a huge children’s play area with a giant slide and lots of things to climb.

You want nature?  Oh, we got nature.  The Greenway will include 91,904 plants and 524 trees!  Yes, those numbers are exact.  I counted.

We will keep you updated as we get closer to the opening!  Meanwhile, you can always get updates on events and news here.

See, 2021 won’t be so bad.  The Waterloo Greenway is coming!
