The wait is finally over...and it was totally worth it! After years of planning and anticipation, Austin finally got their first professional sports team with the arrival of Austin FC. The city was electric for the opener, with fans donning their green to support the squad. I was on-site for the inaugural watch party at the Long Center. It was a great atmosphere...featuring food trucks, apparel shops, and live music! We didn't get the result we wanted, but no worries...Austin takes the pitch again to take on Colorado Saturday night! There will be watch parties all over the city, so check with your favorite watering hole for details. The official watch party this week will be at 3Ten downtown.
