I'm not sure how I have never heard of Snickers Salad. A dessert salad that's popular in the midwest, and known to popup in church cookbooks. The word is it's easy to make, and fits lots of different occasions from BBQs, to bridal & baby showers, Halloween and more. Salad for dessert. Works for me.
Snickers Salad by Simply Stacie
Ingredients:
Vanilla instant pudding mix - package
2% or whole milk - 1/2 cup
Cool Whip - regular size tub
Granny Smith Apples / Honey Crisp (my choice)
Snickers bars / Brownie Snickers bars (yummy too)
Caramel sauce
How to make:
Mix pudding mix, milk and fold in cool whip in a large bowl
Gently mix in the pudding mix chopped apples and Snickers bars
Scoop in serving dishes and top by caramel sauce. Chill in the frig.
This seems pretty darn easy. There's lots of variations to try. Looking forward to having salad for dessert ... or whenever.
