Sara's Dating Diary - Bridgerton
I read this headline on Betches.com. "Is Bridgerton Actually Good Or Are We Just Horny in Quarantine?"...and it got me thinking. I finally watched Bridgerton this weekend and WOW!
It starts with episode 3, then 5, and from what I hear continues
If you have watched then you know.
My husband could only hear the sound of episode 5 from another room and he was like what are you watching??
Let's just say their burning love is on fire. Soft porn maybe? Watch with kids? Please don't
I don't know if it is actually good, but I will say I am logging certain scenes in my memory so that I can circle back to them when I need them in my life.
When I was single and it had been months/sometimes years since I had kissed a boy – moments in movies were really important…like I would fast forward to certain moments just to feel the love.
For example:
-Hope Floats – the dancing scene between Sandra B. and Harry C. where he is wearing the cowboy hat followed by the wood seat he makes
-The Notebook – The rain scene when Ryan Gosling says, "It still isn't over!"
-The scene in Notting Hill where Hugh Grant realizes he loves Julia Roberts
-The piano scene in Pretty Woman
-The car scene in Titanic
-The scene in Dirty Dancing where Baby walks around Johnny in his cabin and he doesn't have a shirt on and they dance and he grabs her leg.
I could go on and on and on and on.
So my point is – quarantine is hard – especially for single people – so thank you Shondaland for giving us all the needed feels Bridgerton.
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their scenes:
Christina - When Carrie rescues Big in Paris in Sex and the City
Amanda - ALL of Outlander
Erwin - The scene in Crazy Rich Asians where he proposes on the plane
