It's time! Something we can all cheer for ... our fellow Texans and the whole team! Yes, there are Texans ( and Texas ties) competing in BBBRR Cold Games! An Icy storm blew in just in time! Heck we're ready for it! Got our phones charged for watching just in case. GO U.S.A ... TEXAS!!

Winter Games thingies to know:
- Friday 2/5 -Sunday 2/20 / 19 days of games
- Host: Beijing China / National Stadium
- Theme: Together for a Shared Future
- USA athletes: 225 / 109 women & 115 men / one non-binary athlete- figure skater Timothy LeDuc (Texan)
- 7 new events added: women's monobob, freestyle skiing big air (men's and women's), mixed team events in short track speed skating team relay, ski jumping, freestyle skiing aerials, and snowboard cross.

Opening ceremony starts 5:30am CST Friday 2/4. Special presentation starts at 7pm on NBC. Peacock will run all events. NBC will air primetime events M-F starting at 7pm and Sunday 6pm. TV schedule

Euless, Texas (just outside of Dallas-Fort Worth) / 6 years

Katie Uhlaendar competing in the skeleton (5th appearance)
Born and lives in Colorado, but she grew up around Central Texas.

Mariah Bell figure skating / debut at 25
Trains in California, but lived in the Dallas area for several years. Her parents and family still live in Dallas.

Sylvia Hoffman / Bobsled
Arlington native / debut w/ Kaillie Humphries 2 women Bobsled team

Amber Glenn / Figure Skating team
Plano native / 2nd alternate

Ashley Caldwell / freestyle skiing
Texas ties with her parents living in Houston
