Thrillist put out a list of the creepiest place to visit in every state. In Texas the Yorktown Memorial Hospital about 75 miles southeast of San Antonio made it as the creepiest.
Thingies that make it uber creepy:
- A drug & alcohol rehabilitation hospital that was open from 1950 -1988 where 2000 people died.
- Many of the items found in hospitals are still in the building.
- It has a chapel and a basement.
- Black shadowy objects have been seen / red glowing eyes
- Organ music has been heard in the chapel area
- Nurses station has had lots of activity detected from what seems like past patients and guests.
- A staircase that is closed off has a window pane that sounds like someone or something is tapping on it
Just a few of the numerous accounts that the caretaker and visitors have experienced.
