Teachers, educators and their students will be getting a helping hand this school year thanks to Austin Creative Reuse with their 'Ice Cream Truck of School Supplies' popping up at schools in the ATX area! Thanks to the generousity of community donations, and close to $66K education grant ACR won through Impact Austin. An Austin-based women’s collective giving organization who helps fund Central Texas nonprofits who provide services to their communities!
Austin Creative Reuse started their 'Materials Mobile', a remodeled van that's stocked with school supplies (in great shape). It goes to area schools where teachers can shop for school supplies at super low prices out of the van. They pay what they can, and no teacher will walk away empty handed if they can't pay. Most teachers buy their own supplies, so the ACR Materials Mobile is a huge help. The grant will allow ACR to help many more teachers, students and schools.
Heading Back-to-School - Do 1Thing Together!

The Austin Creative Reuse 'Materials Mobile' is expected to be out in August to help cut down the stress and cost of going Back-to-School. Be sure to check out ACR's recently updated materials list of what is and isn't accepted. Doing 1Thing together helps the Austin community and the planet! Thanks Y'all!
