Join Mix 94.7 for The Salvation Army Austin's Fourth Annual Day of Giving on Wednesday, August 21. A day to bring Central Texans together to raise awareness and support families experiencing homelessness in our community. The goal is to raise $1,000,000! All donations during Day of Giving provide shelter, warm meals, basic necessities and resources to help families in need regain self-sufficiency.

The Salvation Army Austin has two family shelters, The Austin Shelter for Women and Children and the Rathgeber Center for Families. Each are at capacity with a waitlist of 500+ parents and children. Notably, 86% of those staying in these family shelters are women and children. The Salvation Army Austin is commited to making their experience with homelessness temporary while creating a brighter future for families in Central Texas.
