The Scariest Motel in America is filled with Clowns!

When I was a little girl, I used to call clowns .. 'Clays'! I would laugh and smile when I saw them. Then I watched 'Poltergeist', 'IT' and other movies that made me develop a bit more feeling of fear when I see a clown in certain situations. It never hurts to check under the bed.

There is a place in the middle of the Nevada desert about 3 hours away from Las Vegas. It could easily bring on a feeling of creepy clown fear. It's in Tonopah, Nevada, a former mining town of 50,000, with a current population of around 2,000 people. It's the Clown Motel!

The Clown Motel has been given the title of the 'Scariest Motel in America'! It was created by Bob Perchetti, who ran it for 22 years after retiring from his state tourism job. He and his family collected clowns, and placed them all over the motel. Some even hanging from the ceiling over the bed. When Bob sold the motel, he wanted to make sure the Clown legacy continued. The new owner did not disappoint.

Creepy Clown Mood Ear Candy

The Clown Motel is still Rockin' the creepy clown fear. Many feel it's haunted having a cemetery dating back to 1901 with miners and more buried right nextdoor. There's a ghost named 'Stephen' that has been known to visit. It's gotten lots of movie and TV love that includes Clown Motel 2019 and the sequel Clown Motel 2 Death Do Us Part 2021. As well as paranormal investigations the include Ghost Adventures and Paranormal Voyages
