With so much LOVE for our furbabies / pets in the Austin area, we try to do whatever we can to make sure they are happy and healthy. Even though it's the last thing we like to think about, it's part of the journey of life with our babies. What happens when our furbaby / pet babies get sick? It's after your favorite vet's regular hours. What do you do? Where do you go?
I recently caught a story on We Are Austin where Trevor Scott took a visit to VEG -Veterinary Emergency Group. Emergency vet care open 24/7 for ATX's pet baby saving biz!

The good word is VEG can handle all the emergencies that pop up from accident wounds to vomiting to complex surgeries. Any kind of pet—even exotics. Open 24/7! A call gets you talking to a doctor. Walk-ins are welcome with care that starts once you're inside the door. No waiting in the lobby wondering what's going on. You're with them. If you pet baby care requires an overnight stay, you have the option to stay with them.
Pet parents have the understanding that with the responsibility of having a pet baby, it doesn't come cheap. When an emergency hits, it's even more expensive! The added stress on where to go for great care is not needed! It certainly sounds like ATX has two promising newbie options with VEG to give our pet babies the best care possible. VEG has 2 locations in the austin area open on S. Lamar and the Arboretum. If you have to visit VEG with your pet baby, I'd love to find out about your experience. Email: heather@mix947.com
