The incident happened mid-song during Rexha’s performance at Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York and caused the singer to fall to her knees in pain. Crew members rushed to her aid, pulling her from the stage to be seen by medics.

“Bebe Rexha was taken to a hospital after being struck in the head by fan’s phone at her show,” Pop Crave shared with fans via Twitter. “Her mom confirmed the singer is getting stitches for the wound.”

Bebe updated fans following the incident via social media writing, "I'm good" and there was no indication that the injury will affect her upcoming tour dates this week.

According to reports, NYPD officers have arrested the suspect and his charges have been “upgraded to a felony” due to using the phone as a weapon.
