Channing Tatum doesn't make things easy on himself.
Appearing in a new Vanity Fair cover story, Tatum discussed romance in his life and how he has and hasn’t navigated it.
Currently dating Zoë Kravitz, the “Magic Mike” actor said he’s not sure if he’ll ever “get married again.” He was previously married to dancer/actress Jenna Dewan from 2009-2019.
The “21 Jump Street” star told VF relationships are “hard” for him.
“Even though I am a bit of a monogamist. In business, I haven no real fear of anything being destroyed. But heart things, when it comes to people I love, I have a really hard time,” he said.
Going further, the actor revealed he simply ends up “trying too hard.”
Tatum explained how after he began dating Kravitz he followed a number of fan accounts devoted to her on Instagram.
“I have no chill,” he revealed. “I was just seeing what she was up to! Also, I didn’t know anyone would know.”
Regarding his divorce from Dewan, Tatum said it was probably the best thing for him, personally.
“I don’t think I would’ve ever done the work, I think, on myself in the way that I had to do the work on myself to really try to figure out what next.”
Tatum will next appear “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” arriving in theaters Jan. 10, 2023.
