Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis is sharing her simple cooking hacks on eating right and boosting energy the healthy way.

In her new book “Eat Better, Feel Better: My Recipes for Wellness and Healing, Inside and Out,” the wellness guru admitted that she often chose cheesy pasta dishes and take-out after a long day at work, TODAY reported.

“I was snacking on all the wrong foods — lots of sugar, caffeine, pre-packaged snacks — basically anything that I thought would give me energy to get through the day,” she said, adding that the foods often left her feeling bloated, tired and irritable.

The cookbook “walks you through how to select food that can actually make you feel better and curate a personalized wellness routine to support a healthy mind and body.”

“I started really listening to my body and eating the foods that loved me back,” De Laurentiis said. “That helped my body heal itself and also indicated what foods worked for my body and what foods didn’t.”

Recipes include a range of creative dishes like parmesan shrimp and veggies, roasted cauliflower and baby kale salad, and even grilled strip steak with scallion salsa verde for red meat lovers.

De Laurentiis also offers six easy tips to achieve a healthier eating lifestyle:

• Take small steps
• Tune into how food makes you feel
• Go the grocery store with a plan
• Choose foods packed with flavor
• Find ways to make healthy food choices on busy days
• Add superfoods to healthy dishes like cocoa nibs, sweet potato and salmon.

“Many people think there needs to be a drastic change in order to eat healthy, but that’s not true. My cooking still stays true to my Italian roots, with lots of delicious, fresh ingredients,” she said.

“Eating well is not about eliminating foods — it’s about noting how they affect you and eating less of those that challenge your health. It’s about finding the right balance for you.”
